The Space video is here!

Hello! I am excited!

You may have heard that I was getting a video produced for my song, Space. I am excited right now because it is made! Exclamations!

I hope you enjoy it – if you would, please go to the page on Youtube and 'Like' it or post a comment. Or both. It would help me a lot and I'd love to hear what you think. Also, if you want to send it around to others, that would be lovely. You could tell them that there's a donkey and some delicious lobsters...

Mmmmmm.

Here's the video:

Hope you like it.

Looking for somethings to do?

Hello there. If you have been looking for somethings to do, here are somethings:

Firstly, the next groove-infused jamboree with Milton is happening in Yarraville this Sunday. Here's a flyer with all the details :

So, see you there from 1.30. Prepare to shake IT.

Next, Kanchana and I will be supporting Ash Grunwald as Fat Gold Chain at the Corner Hotel on Saturday, June 9th. Fingers Malone is doing a support slot as well – it will be an electronic, percussive, blues extravaganza. If you want to come (and, let's face it, you do), book your tickets early – Ash's last show at the Corner sold out well in advance.

More info can be found here.

Finally, my friend's band Number Station is holding their EP launch at the Grace Darling on Smith Street, Collingwood this Saturday night from 9pm. I don't know exactly where that is but I will find out before Saturday. They make some great-sounding indie-rock type musics. They also made a video recently. Here it is:

See you there.

And that's that – an exciting line up of entertainment for you.

So, what are you going to do? You're going to go wild at the Number Station launch on Saturday night, recover (by dancing wildly) with Milton on Sunday arvo then spend the next couple of weeks preparing yourself (and ordering tickets) for Fat Gold Chain supporting Ash Grunwald on June 9th.

You're welcome.

Today's update from the offices of Jacob

Good morning.

Here's a video I watched recently:

(via Merlin Mann)

You should watch it. That's all I have to say about that.

In other news, I am still waiting for some 'things' to be delivered before I can start hocking my CD – everything is still on track for the 12th of June. Look forward to that. If you want to be among the first to know when it's available, please sign up to my email list there on the right ––>

If you do, I'll send you a song. Nice.

You also may have heard that I'm getting a video made. It's still being made. I'm hoping it will be done in the next couple of days. I'll let you know.

As a little musical update, here's a little snippet of a new song idea I faffed out of my computer-hole today:

I had a really shit sleep last night comprising about 5 dreams in which I drowned, fought, got beaten up, etc. Freud would be so interested in me.

But Freud's dead.

Feel free to have a listen – it's pretty rough so far. And cheesy. And toot-y.

I also spent some time working on things for the upcoming Fat Gold Chain gig at the Corner hotel supporting Ash Grunwald on the 9th of June (subtle, huh?). More about that later.

That's all for now.

Ever wondered where your playing cards come from?

I know I sure have!

Luckily for you, I found two videos which answer our mutual question on this website here. It's an interesting comparison of how playing cards are manufactured in the US (actually Belgium) and China. Both videos worth watching, if only for the super-speedy-card-packing-into-boxes guy at the end of the China one and awesome robot-ness of the 'US' one. Unfortunately, I can't seem to embed both videos, so you will have to watch them on that site I mentioned above. Or, you can watch the full version of the US one here (it has an awful, non-sequitur pun at the end – almost worth watching).

Why am I interested in playing cards all of a sudden?

No reason...

What's in the boxes?

On track for June 12 release.

And then...?

Hmmmm.

(The answer is 'a buttload of CDs', if you couldn't make it out)
